Question: How long do I have to wait to have a Brazilian buttlift (BBL) done after just having liposuction? In other words, how long before I can get round 2 of liposuction and a BBL?

Answer: The recovery time for liposuction can vary depending on whether you were under local anesthesia by the tumescent technique or whether you were under general anesthesia. Also the number of areas liposuctioned and the extent of the liposuction will determine the answer as well.

Provided that the area has an adequate fat content, then the same area can be liposuctioned again.  As long as the vascular supply is not an issue and swelling has not masked the appearance of an area, additional liposuction may be okay to perform.   However, the swelling may take 3 to 6 months to resolve.
