Can a Plastic Surgeon Remove Fat from the Pubic Area for a BBL?

Updated: Aug 31, 2019

Question: For a BBL, can the plastic surgeon remove fat from the pubic area if there is fat there? Is this practice common and safe?

Answer: Fat can be taken from many different areas of the body including abdomen, sides, bra rolls, thighs, arms, underarms, flanks, lower back, upper back, posterior neck, submental areas, jowls, thighs, calves, ankles, buttocks, hips, knees, and the pubic area. One has to consider not only which areas will have perhaps the best fat, but also one has to consider which donor sites will have the fewest problems afterward with the liposuction.  In general, the abdomen, sides, and lower back have the most fat, but the pubic area can provide additional fat as well.

Localized fatty deposition can be improved with liposuction, and that area will be less likely to accumulate fat after the procedure.  The pubic area or mons pubis can be liposuctioned with very nice results.  Select a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed thousands of these procedures to discuss your end goals.
